My Depression

I'm not trying to be dismissive of medication at all or dismissive of your situation but I do believe diet and lifestyle are a huge factor when it comes to regulating your health/mental health and I believe that with the information that keeps coming out these days we will see more of a push with diet and exercise than taking a pill/anti depressant.

I also put this part at the top here so you can just know I'm not attacking or being dismissive of how you feel, your current life situation or the other advice other users have offered.

Please make sure medication is a last resort. Those pills are not candy or a safe secure cure. They can have side effects. Try changing your diet and lifestyle habits. Exercise. They have linked inflammation to depression. Inflammation comes from lots of things mainly from diet but others things like stress in daily life. They have given people diets high in certain foods that have had the exact same positive results as anti depressants have had. I myself was very depressed, anxiety and body dysmorphic. I changed my lifestyle habits. I started eating tons of veges, took out all the junk food I ate (I don't eat any junk food anymore ever) only ever drink water now too. I take my omega 3s (fish oil) magnesium and vitamin D3 supplements and I exercise and within a years time I went from not being able to leave the house because I was so mentally messed up to being able to walk down the street like a casual person and got a job.

Talk to family and friends. Don't be afraid or ashamed too, they do care. Try therapy. Hope you get better in time.
