To my fellow Hillary Supporters who are upset about the loss and election of Donald Trump.

That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Maybe I didn't word that too well, and for that I apologize. My point was that the US's military spending isn't absurd or exorbitant, just that it looks that way out of context. If you believe that there needs to be cuts in the defense budget then that's fine (I would agree with you), but our military spending isn't anything outside the range you'd expect from any other country who was equally well off economically.

A)

Yes, but Sanders himself said that his tax proposals are estimated to bring in up to $6.5 trillion a year. Even if he hypothetically did something as drastic as cut the entire military spending on top of that, his plan still falls short by $6 trillion. That's the kind of margin that doesn't just fix itself out of thin air.

B)

I've heard this argument before, but I've not been able to find any hard evidence or numbers either way. I've heard the exact opposite is happening in Canda though, so take that as you will.

C)

I agree that America's health care system has a lot of problems and needs reform, but none of this makes Bernie's plans any more financially viable. The numbers don't seem to be on his side at all, and even Bernie himself hasn't seemed to address the gaping holes in his plan. At least, as far as I know. If you've got anything showing otherwise though I'd be interested in reading/watching it.
