PSA: Don't scream at service dogs. [vent]

sounded a lot more serious when i read your first post.. sounded like the screaming girl startled your dog and startled you too, and instead of just calmly apologizing and leaving, you said you literally grabbed your dog by his harness and started shoving treats in his face. then you allowed the situation to continue simply by staying there... all you had to do was leave. you made your dog think something was actually happening, when in reality nothing happened and you could have instantly moved on with your life. the way you handled the situation gave everyone involved anxiety, to the point where your service dog was literally alerting at nothing long after you should have had things well under control. it doesnt sound like you acted calmly or had control of the situation at any point. if thats not an accurate assessment of what happened, then my bad. thats what it sounded like though. you should be mentally prepared to handle situations like this, as the handler its your responsibility
