Why do we need labels for our genders/sexualities anyways?

Multiple reasons.

• Lots of people are not heterosexual
• Its helpful to be able to say "I am not heterosexual" and be accurate

You're not. Well, I assume you're not. Because most people are not. And you used "Masculine and feminine" like they are monoliths, male or female would be more accurate (There are plenty of masculine women and feminine men that have no gender trouble in the slightest.)

Gender is not a fixed binary, but far more of a spectrum. Its more than "Masculine" or "feminine", its everything from nothing onwards. Its not biological, its societal (Largely. At least the gender norms then dropped ontop are.)

It's funny how you try to box up people that don't fit in boxes with labels...

TIA spends its time mocking people who want to make their own boxes. That is a large part of what it does. Why not just leave them alone?

Finally: Most categories are made for psychological/sociological discussion or simply discussion within the LGBTQ. If these are not things you do, labels don't matter cause you will never even hear them.
