My first festival: Lightening in a Bottle, how do I do it right?

Looks like I'm working it again. Last year was first year and I'll say this: GET THERE AS EARLY AS YOU CAN. Camping far from the festival is rough, and it's so much nicer to have your camp close by. It's a long hike if you get there late, it's worth paying for the early arrival at this festival if you can in my honest opinion. Of course I was there like 5 days early last time, but I saw my friends suffering with long trips back to the car/camp.

Don't worry too much about food and drinks, there are lots of them for sale there and you'll not want to carry around a ton of stuff all day. Spending a few bucks more is worth not carrying ridiculous amounts of drinks and snacks all day. Honestly, unless you're really close you probably don't want to head back to camp each day multiple times as it will kill your feet.

Don't worry too much about costumes, LiB is less ravey and more Burner-y so dress how you want and for maximum comfort walking in dirt/dust with some additional items for flair/style if you want. There's also tons of unqiue vendors selling cool stuff.

Bring a face mask for the dust, I just have a stretchy neck "tube" I use as it's very lightweight and I'm always too hot.
