My mom decided reckless driving was an appropriate reaction

Believe me, I've been trying to. I've been looking at land and trailers (way cheaper than rent anywhere around here, even with full time income). Working more hasn't been a possibility yet as 1) I have physical disabilities that severely limit my choices in jobs, 2) my current job, while full time, offers no option for overtime, and 3) I'm struggling to get treatment for several 'mysterious' ailments that leave me fatigued and in crushing pain by the end of the day.

I've lived on my own for most of my adult life but I moved back in with my parents a few years ago. Since my parents live right outside the city where my new job was, and my old home was over an hour away, and my dad's disabilities have worsened to the point where my mom is worried to leave him alone too long, it seemed like a no-brainer, and my mom was the one to suggest it. We have improved our relationship a lot since my teen years, and it's been relatively smooth until now.
