My Parents are kicking me out in June when I turn 19. Advice?

Do today what others won't, so that tomorrow you can do what other's can't.

Go door to door asking if you can help around their house/grounds for cash. Negotiate pay. You need at least $200 in order to get a bank account opened, and buy a good set of clothes from goodwill/charity shops for interviews. ($250 would be better.)

Congratulations, the local library is now your go to for entertainment and spare time. While doing odd jobs... While you're not out interviewing for entry level positions, you're there learning everything you can to pursue better employment.

Once you're employed you're going to get a good multivitamin, get one pot, one pan, one set of silverware, one bowl, one plate, and food storage containers. Get a good meal plan going. Eat cheaply, and cleanly.

You're going to bust your ass, got me?

  • $200/$250, Bank Account, Interview Clothes, Library Card, Multivitamin

  • Cookware + eatware, Entry Level Position

  • Research positions like Security, Accounting, EMT-B... Technical positions that can be gotten with quick training. Less than 1 week courses to 12 week courses. These will generally pay better than entry level positions, and are always in demand.

Goodluck
