Whew- now that’s out of my system....I have seen a lot of really bad things happen to kids. I want to tell you my favorite! My friend Matt killed himself. Born to a catholic mother as a product of rape. “I never wanted you.” “I never loved you.” “I wish you had never been born.” Were things he grew up hearing. I always felt so sad because my dad would say things like “you’re useless” and “are you fucking retarded?” And “you should practice digging holes because you’ll be nothing more than a ditch digger” to me. It hurt but I knew someone cared for me. Matt didn’t have that. I can’t blame him. I get sad a lot.

Thank you for doing the right thing. All of my hopes are with you and the life you gave.
