Name an actor that has more range than Brian Cox

For anyone looking to see a choice Brian Cox scene, check out this one from the adaptation of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus (2011).

This was the directorial debut of the great Ralph Fiennes, playing returning general and hero called Coriolanus in recognition for a great victory in nearby Corioles. Coriolanus meets with unrest among citizens upon his return. Cox plays an elder Senator who pleas with the people to appreciate their hero rather than indulge in the populist rhetoric of the tribunes.

The rest of the supporting cast is great if you’ve never seen this Shakespeare adaptation. Fiennes’ wife is played by Jessica Chastain, the first time I had seen her, and his mother by Vanessa Redgrave. Gerard Butler plays an enemy general. Very well-rounded production that uses all sorts of modern tech to set the script “in the present day” rather than 600 BCE.
