it’s actually insane how well the trio worked on getting this done. i believe the plan going into the trip was to get in there, squeeze mattson for every nickel, and close a deal. with the addition of ATN (which was only sticking around for sentimentality, none of them seem particularly attached to it as a personal endeavor) for a premium, they did exactly that.

kendall’s effective at running point on the deal as the one with the most natural authoritative power. he’s often unsure of himself lol but he’s willing to play hardball.

roman showed some pride and dignity that i think would impress the likes of mattson. he’s also effective muscle (not literally), to kendall, as the wildcard.

shiv proved herself savvy and personable in a way the other 2 can’t fake. made him feel normal after speaking time with the scooby-doo’s.

back to my hardball point, that’s what they did right?they drew a line and basically told him “look we probably wanted a deal, but between the insults and the changes, you can fuck off. and we can afford it” under it all, mattson seemed very eager to close a deal, and they used it against him. yeah, when they decided to tank the deal they were probably earnest, but you have to actually be willing to tank the deal if you’re going to act like you can afford to tank the deal. got him to pay more in the end. there i’ll be fallout and consequences, but pretty much seems like they all got what they wanted.
