Yeah I assume so. He’s reassuring Shiv, and he’s also saying it to himself like a mantra. Some people aren’t sure Ken really believes what he’s saying, though.

FWIW, I do think he means it in that scene. Ken is soothing himself, saying it as a way to get that pressure off his shoulders so he doesn’t have to deal with the implications on top of everything else he’s not ready to handle.

In the panic room with Rhea, his killer instinct and his self-esteem return. The hunt is adrenaline and Ken is fearless now, in circumstances like this. When the ‘enemy’ is external, as with Lawrence, he’s Darth Vader. He’s the most like Logan (which makes you wonder what the horrors of Logan’s past, to make him such a steely knife, really entailed.)
