God damn this resonated hard. My ex, the father of my two small kids, is a textbook narcissist. I try my best to be NC but because of the shared custody, it's impossible. When he starts trying to police and control how I raise the kids, I stop answering his texts (I only talk to him through text or email).

He's refusing to take lockdown seriously and still sends the kids for sleepovers with his parents so he can go out. His mom works in a grocery store, his dad works in public transportation. There's no point in arguing with him though. I've resigned to the fact that no matter how careful I am, this asshole is exposing me to a lot of risk and I have to adjust my behavior to reduce the harm I might cause.
