I can understand people expressing their rights as Americans. However, as a hospital worker, what is most concerning is the inability to care for every single patient effectively. Currently our ICU is 80% full. If this outbreak were to be any more severe there indefinitely would not be enough equipment to care for everyone with deaths sky rocketing. Either choosing to do nothing or quarantine, the country will face financial hardship, regardless. But families are falling apart. I’ve had to tell a son that both of his parents died in the same day. If these protestors cannot manage 1-2 months without work then that’s a whole different issue of irresponsibility. Long story short, fuck this guy.
