Need a Recommendation: Neverwinter or ESO?

Neverwinter is fun while leveling up due to fast-paced/somewhat flashy combat and fun classes to learn & develop, but becomes incredibly grindy when you hit max level. Literally becomes a laundry list of daily things to repeat every time you login until you have X currency or Y gear. Dungeons can be fun but PVP is miserable, and unfortunately developer support is very inconsistent. Sometime in the past year, the majority of the dungeons were removed from the game to be revamped and so far only a few have been added back in the game. UI was originally made for PC, and it shows - menu/gear navigation is a headache with a controller. Bonus points for being free, but is otherwise not very satisfying.

ESO is much grander in scope - open world, more freedom to pursue activities you want, etc. The faction vs. faction PVP is fantastic. I personally had a lot of trouble getting co-op quests to work (like getting story or side quests to synch between two party members), but the dungeons are good fun and that PVP is phenomenal when running around with buddies.

I've played far more Neverwinter than ESO, but I would definitely recommend ESO for its general polish and group activities. If you're all on a budget, Neverwinter can be a fun romp while leveling characters but suffers big time from repetitive grind & F2P limitations at the endgame.
