New Card Reveal - Headmaster Kel'Thuzad (The First Day by Amazing LP)

yeah, another rulebook enthusiast. I wrote like this because majority of the players don't know about it so I assumed you don't know either. My bad.

As you note, the rulebook is outdated but that does not mean that ALL of the rules written there is false. We are dealing with minion death and deathrattle resolving here so I am pretty sure that both is still true.

About timing vs. controller thing, I got what you meant to say. You're objecting the ownership of the spell casting. I am not a dev so this is only an interpretation of the situation with all the information we got now. My interpretation can change after some information/relase. Here it goes.

Here first I've collected some information from hswiki. Sentences in the code block are copy pasted from hswiki, from different pages. If you want to check the authenticity, you can copy paste the sentence to google. I am not editing them to fit my narrative.

- 'After' effects trigger from the spell fully resolving.

- Each missile (of flamewaker) is resolved (queuing and resolving triggered effects, such as that of Acolyte of Pain) before the next one is shot.

- Death-triggered effects activate only after the death has fully resolved, and the minion or weapon removed from play. All types of death-triggered effects, including Deathrattles, triggered effects and Secrets are queued together from oldest to newest played, with no special priority.

So let's resolve what's happening. Me playing sw:d on Sylvannas forms a sequence (that can hold multiple phases). Death of her is an "event".

Spellburst starts happening after the spell is fully resolved. What's our spell here? SW:D. Let's make an indent for it.

So one spell is cast,
