New Footage of United Passenger Dragged Off Plane

So 30 minutes to an hour is too long to wait before we just start bloodying people and using force?

I mean that's the time you think it would take for them to look it up and honestly I don't think that's all that unreasonable to take the time to make sure things are done right.

If a police officer has a reasonable suspicion that you are breaking the law (trespassing), he is allowed to detain you, arrest you, or give you a lawful order to leave. It's that simple.

Are you sure it's that simple? Are you a judge? Because you keep saying they are the only ones who can make that determination but then you go ahead and make your own determinations.

If somebody walks into my business, and they refuse to leave, I will call the police and have them removed. I might be breaking a law or a policy, but that is my fault. The officers understanding of the situation is that a man is trespassing on my property and I need him to leave. I am the owner of the property, I will refund the person so I am not stealing his money, and I want the person removed. That's the basic outline of what the officer has to work with and make is evaluation of the situation based on. The officer is simply doing his job based on what information he can access and he has available. If it turns out that I broke a law by kicking somebody out of my business, then I am liable and I may be sued in civil court or perhaps fined for violating a law related to business and trade or something.

A hypothetical situation based on what you think the law is.
