Did you know you get armor and even weapons on your soldiers when you hire them if you play on a low enough difficulty? i never knew that. i went through the whole game thinking its just normal that new soldiers have no equipment. yeah itll teach you the mechanics alright. teach you how to spend resources. 'cause youll start with less, need more, and lose the game faster all throughout.

The game is forgiving enough that you dont need to play anywhere close to perfect to win on legend. so learning it on the fly is real possibility.
