NFL - Week 1 Opening Lines - Early Discussion

NE/KC under 47.5 for -110

  • Couple thoughts: KC's Reid is known for running the ball and eating clock with small, 1-inch punch plays. Eating the clock means less time for offensive scoring. Also, NE's gameplay pattern is usually get a good two score lead into halftime then run the clock out + protect the lead and conserve Brady's resources.

PITT/CLE under 48 for -110

  • No pressure for Pittsburgh. Get enough to win. Browns will do everything they can do. Could be a surprise upset for Pittsburgh if they aren't careful with this IMPROVED Browns team

ATL -7.5 vs CHI for +100

  • Atlanta Offense will be fresh, rejuvenated and with multiple years of Kyle Shanahan's legacy. It's not like they've forgotten the play schemes he ran or like they have forgotten what kind of style works best for them. This offense should be good enough to cover against a weak? Chicago Bears defense? Usually offenses take time to get clicking + hum on all cylinders so maybe their output wont be as high this first game (especially since there is no pressure on them).
