Fun fact — if you call Comcast customer service and get an answer you don’t like, you can pretty much just hang up and call back until you get someone who’s actually gonna work with you.

When I moved into my last apartment, the first customer service rep said they’d have to schedule a tech to come out to hook up my line, which I knew was BS because the previous tenant had Comcast set up and I moved in while she moved out. I hung up and called back saying “I want to do the self-install and I definitely do not need a tech.” Took 3 tries, but finally got the person who said “Yeah, you’re right. I have no idea why they’re saying you need a tech to come out. Let me push that order out of the system and you’ll be set for the self-install.” Single most helpful customer service rep I’ve ever spoken to, Comcast or otherwise. Saved me $60!
