I suspect you want people to be more open about gender identity, yet you refuse to do so yourself. Why the hostility? Why not try to discuss my view with me instead of calling me names? You're asking me to accept that gender is constructed to whatever a person feels like it should be. If I'm a man, I work and dress like a man during the week, but on the weekends I go to drag clubs and put on a show as a drag queen, you'd respect my 'gender identity', yet, for some reason if I shower in the women's locker room, I'm an "idiot" and "couldn't stoop any lower". I'd like to understand the new rules you're establishing and trying to find out how it applies to me.

This is the description I get when I google 'gender identity':

"a person's perception of having a particular gender, which may or may not correspond with their birth sex."

In my perception, I'm mostly a man, but when it comes to showering, I'm a woman. How can you even argue with this? It is my gender identity, it is whatever I like it to be. Or is my gender identity something we negotiate and agree upon?

Well, if that's the case, then I don't have to accept it either. It goes both ways, either it is a spectrum and you have to accept where I land on that spectrum, or it isn't a spectrum and everyone is either a man or a woman.
