The. 2nd amendment doesn't cover hunting. Or honestly self defense either. Both of those things were considered so important to humans at the time of writing of the constitution that they didn't even think it was necessary to write it down.

Like you said. Notice how every other country still allows hunting in some capacity. Self defense is a bit different. Some countries literally don't think self defense should be allowed. And that's actually insane.

But. The US. The second amendment. Is literally the right to defend that inborn freedom. The second amendment isn't for hunting, and self defense. It is saying that we have the right to keep arms to fight for those things.

To fight the government if they try to gain too much control, and oppress the people. To tell you the truth. The forefathers of this country started a war over taxes. If they were alive today. They would have burned this corrupt shit hole to the ground.

The second amendment also has the added benefit. That the government that tries to actually get rid of it. Or alter it. Is most definitely tyrannical.

It's a litmus test.

But also. That is the main reason. Despite our government basically becoming tyrannical for years now.

Enacting unconstitutional laws. They are pretty afraid to really do anything to the 2nd amendment.

Because. Even if we are lazy pieces of shit. That do nothing in the face of such corruption. We might actually get off our fat American asses and do something in if they touch that.

Truthfully it also just covers arms. That can be any weapon basically. But we try to keep guns. Because. How the hell are we going to fight others with guns, if we have no guns.
