No one bothered to read the article/headline. This is how rumors get spread.

The ones that bother me are the quotes, either just as text or with someone's picture. Some of the time, that person never said that. I can't stand all the ones attributed to Einstein. They do it that way to lend the quote credibility but if you search the quote, a lot of quote websites actually reference it as being that person who never said it. You have to dig really deep just to prove it wasn't said by that person.

In an M. Night Shyamalan movie, where people are killing themselves, I don't remember the title, they quoted Einstein as having said some bullshit about bees and only a few years to live. A made-up quote from some author of a gardening book made it into a fucking movie.

The quote is from a book in the 90s and is the only known source for the quote with the author admitting later on that he made it up yet it's plastered all over quote websites on the first page of google.

The one by Jefferson, the famous one, I can't remember it now, was never said by him and is the gist of interpretation from a letter he wrote.

The reason it bothers me so much is that, in the near future, it will be extremely difficult to separate fact from fiction as this bullshit continues to be spread.
