This is NOT to start anything: As a transwoman I dont think gender is purely a social construct.

Im sorry im a little confused here. You said you dont believe gender is a social construct, and to back that up you used an example that doesnt really back up your claim. Im left rather perplexed. I really fail to see how a story of a cis guy who gets argumentative over a cis womans interest in the music genre Ska reinforces your claim.

I want to say it does the opposite. A social construct is a collection of stereotypes and rules and laws that try and force certain groups of people to understand behave in certain ways. In this instance, the cis woman is breaking the stereotype, and thus the social condtruct, of what the cis male believes gender to be. She likes a genre that is predominantly enjoyed by men and seems to be going after her for that for stepping outside of the social boundaries of what women should like.

Or am i completely wrong in my assessment? Id like some clarification if im misinterpreting
