California. It is expensive, but so so safe honestly. I will never live in another state. It's beautiful, huge, and honestly, when it comes to transphobes, sure, there are lots here. Just like any other place. But here, they KNOW they are the minority. They KNOW they can't do shit. Because California has the vibe of "where else are we gonna go" lol. A transphobe wouldn't be like GET OUTTA MY STATE because they know California is meant for people more liberal than them. They feel they are the minority, they know it. And so even if there is hate, the general social atmosphere with bigots is one of tolerancey because it's true like where else would we go? This is the liberal state lol they can't be mad at liberals living in a liberal state and if they do it makes no sense and they know it. So the transphobes, while there still are many, are pretty powerless knowing they're overpowered and this is our state.
