Like all comics, this is an exaggeration. But almost every NRI I have met has

  • Over the top celebrations of Indian festivals. Like seriously, did you even celebrate that much back in India?
  • Complaining about something that doesn't match up to things back in India e.g. food is not the same, I miss Indian food
  • When in India, complaining about something that doesn't match up to things back in USA e.g. wow, the beers/wine sucks here and are expensive AF. I miss my microbrewery beers
  • Can't really seem to grasp that they hold contradictory positions e.g. I want to raise my kids in India with Indian values while ignoring that they fact that their intercaste/interreligion/internationality marriage would have been hell if they were living back at home with gossiping relatives and society.
