This was Obama's shortest State of the Union speech. I'd say he tried and succeed in making it "a little shorter".

“I believe a thriving private sector is the lifeblood of our economy.” No, you don’t. You killed the Keystone XL pipeline deal with Canada, which would have provided jobs to tens of thousands of private (and public) sector energy industry employees.
If only there were other areas of the private sector that people could get jobs in that were not related to the Keystone XL pipeline.

“Food Stamp recipients didn't cause the financial crisis; recklessness on Wall Street did. Immigrants aren't the reason wages haven't gone up enough.” This is an utter misrepresentation of reality. Actually, subprime loans and an unstable housing market wrecked the economy. Surprise! The government, under the tender care of the Democrats, demanded that banks lend to unqualified, low-income Americans with horrible credit ratings.
