Oct 15th strike

And this achieves what? So you call out sick and don't get paid ok. Who are you hurting. No one.

COVID already did this experiment for you. People lost their jobs and stayed home. Everything was closed. The economic situation wasn't as dire nationally, or locally, as imagined. All it taught the powers that be was that you can, indeed, sacrifice a good number of people economically as long as the others keeping working and spending - and they do.

This "general strike" is a sexy idea. Looks and sounds good on social media. It even has some local culture in that the first general strike was in Seattle. But it doesn't work anymore. It's not a practical or useful tool. It doesn't hurt anyone but the people participating.
