I think he looks awesome on my roster and love what he does. And think a lot more people will begin thinking the same thing if he keeps his production steady for a 3rd week straight which is likely given what Ive learned about this kid. Everyone loves the 1-1-1 gems and Vassal is legit looking like he can end up being a 2-2-1 guy with 90% ft, decent rebounding and that incredibly sexy turnover rate.19:3 for the year and it's no fluke. After going down the rabbit whole and reading up on him he piqued my interest immediately. I added him the moment I saw back to back 20+ minute games, fully convinced he won't be going back to a reduced role. Return of Derrick White has some concerned naturally, especially since Vassel was the guy benched the game White played. From what I've gathered since that game I do not believe Vassel's role will not be effected if/when White returns again. There was an apparent decision made earlier this month to commit to small ball and develop Vassel with the trial by fire treatment and it's been nothing but praise from people since. Any LMA owners wondering wtf happened to him the answer is apparently Vassel getting an increased role. The Last game LMA got heavy usage and 30+ minutes with 10 boards was the first game Vassel logged over 20 mins. The 2 weeks since they've played pretty much the same amount and Vassel has more rebounds even in that time. LMA did have a high usage game against dallas, guessing due to matchups but the new norm is minutes in the low-mid 20's with him staying out of the way. Vassel won't be a volume shooter but will keep the ball moving and can hit some shots/get to the rim when need and hit his fts if fouled. The kid ranks something like 2x higher from an efficiency standpoint (forgot the term/acronym) than the #2 rookie, pretty sure it was quickly but will have to double check. He's already caught up the DJM on steals for the year and almost caught up in deflections despite much less playing time, and is already regarded as the best defender on the team. Forgot the full breakdown but his per 36 produces something nuts like 3stl/.2 TO. Pop loves him and he's apparently the SF of the future for them and perhaps even sometime this year (speculation from beat writers). Starter or not his defense and unique skill set makes a solid 3 and D wing and will keep him involved with Lonnie set taking the biggest hit when/if white returns.

There are even a bunch of comparisons of him and the 'real fun guy' from people around the org and apparently the only rookie since said fun guy to get this type of role and playing time out of pop this early. He "always seems to know what he should be doing and where he should be without being told" and "a natural born basketball player" according to pop. Could totally be coach speak and pop being pop do the complete opposite of what's expected, but the kid seems to be real deal and secured his role.

Sorry for the novel but I consumed a lot of info on this guy these last 2 weeks because he's interesting af and the spurs always amaze me. They're over here running 4 guard lineups with young'ns and they're all producing

Have enjoyed Kendal since adding with my first move of the year and enjoying this new rook so far. In my punt assist/blocks build he's perfect.
