Sinema Throws Cold Water on Nuking the Filibuster

They wouldn't have the power to do so if Republicans didn't mindlessly obstruct

We expect Republicans to do that; they've been doing it for three decades, and doing it a lot for two decades. Can't blame Republicans this time though. Democrats could end Republican obstruction tomorrow.

But really I agree with another poster in this thread who said we need to let them use the filibuster to hold up some popular legislation, let the media pressure build on them and THEN start talking about nuking the filibuster.

Too late; they're already holding up popular legislation and filibuster nuking has been discussed for months. So if they're not going to do it, they're not going to do it.

Unless you have some evidence to the contrary.
