I am into photography lately and only own an old Fujifilm Finepix Bridgecamera at this moment which bothers me because a) I can't get additional lenses for it and b) I'm stuck with a shitty auto focus!

I'm pretty much low on budget at this point of my life, so I'm aware that I have to get an entry-level DSLR. As far as I know, that's a good option for a beginner anyway.

If somehow possible I'd like to avoid the 450$ line. Which equals about 400€ where I live. I wouldn't mind buying only the body the camera without an additional lens kit, due to the fact that I plan on buying a 50mm/f1.8 prime lens anyway.

I mainly want to do street photography and some form of portrait shoots - nothing super professional and more or less in a natural environment, e.g. in the woods or at beaches. I also don't want to stick to perfect lighting all the time, especially with shots in the woods. I kind of like the feeling of darker pictures in this environment. :) And I also want to bring the new DSLR with me when I travel. My boyfriend and I currently plan a one year trip to Australia which gives a huge variety of landscapes to take shots, too! I guess I'll also need a lens especially for this.

I do have little knowledge with photo editing and own Lightroom and Photoshop and I do plan on learning more about it than I already know!

The huge variety of entry-level DSLR is really confusing to me. I'm looking into it for about a week now and still cannot decide which one I should buy. If I remember everything correctly I should buy a new camera body and not a used one, but can stick to used ones - especially in the beginning - if I plan on buying lenses.

I'd love to get recommendations for DSLR's that somehow fit me to finally get and idea of which one I want!
