(OH/FL) Online Harassment Lawsuit

This is the email I just received from their lawyer when I asked whom he was representing. This may be one of the most unprofessional things I've ever read.

"Ms. XXXXXX I would rather not at this time.

However, just think about who you and others that are active on your web site "XXXXXXXX" have been harassing non-stop over the last two months and I think you will know who I represent. If this doesn't give you a clue then I am saddened by the fact that you and the other members of your site harass so many people that you don't even know who they are. Moreover, I think it is very important for you to realize that you are responsible for the actions of others using your site as a means of harassment. Additionally, through the subpoena process, I will obtain the identity of those people and include them in whatever legal action I take against you and your company. Therefore, the anonymous cowards that use your site for their bullying campaign against others will no longer be anonymous. Moreover, the things that they have said and done will NOT impress any judge as being "honorable".

You may think you are acting "honorably" by calling out people that have allegedly "stolen" the photos of others for their own benefit but the person I represent is NOT a photographer or even someone who posted photos at issue. My client is the innocent victim of your harassment and that from your "faceless" bullies. Your harassment has affected my client's business and I am now seeking to not only stop the harassment but to punish you and them financially for your actions.

So you know, my first job was with the American Civil Liberties Union (A.C.L.U.) and I am taking this case on a pro bono basis because I hate bullies, especially faceless cowards like the ones using your site. Moreover, I am also a photographer and artist who definitely appreciates the "theory" behind your web site. However, your site has lost its focus and is now nothing more than a place for anonymous people to bully others accused of stealing photos.

I will again recommend that you retain an attorney so you are represented in this matter.

Thank you."
