Staffing, money, time constraints, work environment all play a factor when creating 100%. I just said budget because I honestly didn’t feel like diving into the anime industry because that’s a whole other problem in itself.

Major hitters as in popularity my friend. MHA and AOT are far more popular than SL yet they still suffer from animation problems which only adds to the overall point.

AOT is fairly consistent across the board in terms of animation. The drop off is no where near as close to stuff you see in most seasonal anime. I never tried to claim it has great animation across the board because that’s a standard that most anime will never be able to live up to. AOT consistency across 16 episodes while being under some serious time constraints (WIT didn’t even want to take on the project for this reason) makes me think it has good animation. It’s in a different tier and seasonal anime but it’s definitely not a S tier in terms of animation.
