Ok, Reddit, if we all suspended judgment for a sec, what do you want to brag about?

The only formal martial arts training I've had are Tai Chi and Aikido. The later has nothing to do with avatar.

It all started with Tai Chi and it's connection to waterbending. As opposed to most forms of MA focus on exerting force and energy. Tai chi focuses on drawing engery to your centre while also shifting and pivoting around that centre. Which is why tai chi is an amazing warm up. I always start with tai chi.

I follow the cycle of the elements to Earthbending, based off southern praying mantis kung fu. EB focuses on footwork, defense and striking. It is key not to use all your strength in any one attack. Attacking vital points while maintaining chi is key.

Inevitably the body gets tiried, which brings us to Firebending based off Northern Shaolin Kung Fu. FB focuses on light quick attacks with more agile than defense based stances. At this point the remainder of my chi fades further to the point where: not only can my body feel the burn of the workout (bad pun intended-sorry it's late), I also lose balance.

Airbending (based of... ?) is the martial art of a dancing leaf. AB uses momentum around ones own centre to constantly and at any point find balance. The key here maintaining ones heaven and earth connection. Heaven is to believe one floats like a leaf. Earth is remember if you trip, you break like a stick. Quoting the wrong story, "True focus lies between rage and serenity."

At this point in my workout I'm am balanced yet out of energy. Which brings me back to Waterbending, the art of building chi.

TL;DR I wave my arms and throw shit with my mind o.O

P.S. please remember this is all based of my own philosophy and is likely completely inaccurate to the true nature of Chi or any of the mentioned fighting styles.

P.P.S. Kuvera sux!
