On Trump's second day, thousands of women to march in D.C. in protest

That said, of course I, and most feminists I imagine, want to see more resources for supporting abused men.

Yeah I've been hearing that line for years. It's all talk.

An acceptable replacement for the ACA would be single-payer.

Yes that would be ONE such replacement. I think single-payer is weak. The best solution is to make right to healthcare a public good... like... yanno... in every other first world fucking nation.

Dismantling it and replacing it with nothing is going to be a disaster. Not least because it mandated that pre-existing conditions cannot be excluded.

Well Trump isn't doing that. What he's doing is removing the individual mandate, and as someone who lost $350 on my tax refund this year because I wound up between insurance for two months early last year, I applaud this. Fuck that mandate. I only even went to the doctor once last year, shit.

Paychecks fairness: the wage gap actually exists. If you compare for jobs/education, it is still there, though not the 70% number thrown about sometimes. Worse in some states, better in others. If there's no case, then obviously the lawsuits for pay discrimination would fail. Dismissing it out of hand shows a lack of research. We could also take into account sexism in hiring practices and education that funnels women into low paying jobs and poor maternity/day care options that remove women from the workplace.

It's 7% and almost totally accountable by life choices. It has nothing to do with discrimination.

Dismissing it out of hand shows a lack of research.

To the contrary, endorsing its existence shows lack of research.

Fuck it, here's Maddox on the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDj_bN0L8XM

It was all bullshit. There's SO MUCH bullshit coming out of these activist groups like RAINN these days, it makes my soul cry. You know why, too. It's to continue their funding. I get it, there's business in social justice... but for fucks sake at what cost?

We could also take into account sexism in hiring practices and education that funnels women into low paying jobs and poor maternity/day care options that remove women from the workplace.

Well for the uneducated male the options are higher paying jobs... you're correct... ones that more often than not brutally destroy your body physically. Men are so high at the top of the charts on workplace injury and death... If memory serves they're 80% of workplace injury and 93% of workplace death. Not to mention they put in 60% more overtime (again if memory serves) and take 1/3rd less sick days. That's unacceptable... but please, tell me more about how you want a STEM job you never studied for.

I believe FADA will pass unless Democrats can filibuster. And after 2018 (where they defend far more seats than Republicans) they may not be able to do that.

I dunno. At this point it's shelved. We'll see. I feel like it's one of those acts that people make a fuss about just to win brownie points with the religious nerds but never intend to actually pass.
