One of my all time favorite things on the internet.

My dad a was a driver at Waste Management pretty much my entire life. He's actually a welder/fabricator there now, but they always put food on our table and we didn't really want for anything. Very small town with a low cost of living and he pulls down 60k a year at it and was able to buy several rental properties and start a side business as well as race a higher tier dirt race car his entire life. Actually in his younger days he'd pull in 75k+ a year with overtime. It's not anything insane, but for a guy who didn't even graduate high school it really gave him opportunities he would never have had and it's actually pretty amazing how many people in worse situations still look down on garbage men, Can't beat macked out healthcare for $50 a week either.

He actually likes it so much that even though his small business has taken off and netted him 200k in profit last year, and he has enough years in for retirement, he's still going to continue working both because the hours don't conflict with one another.
