I work with alt Ed/continuation high students. Often I am not told of their crimes until their PO shows up to check on them and spills the beans. Some POs refuse to say, and there’s no documentation in their cum.

Document everything. Start a list of all the special interventions you do., in accordance with the Accommodations and Modifications page of the IEP. As soon as there is any hint of discipline issues, request and then follow a strict behavior plan. Document every parent contact, or attempt at parent contact. Keep the kid busy with short, accessible work.

Usually students like this crash and burn outside of my room, and don’t make the end of the year.
