"what the hell are you doing in education if you hate everyone this much?"

I've taught the same thing for so long, so many times, that it's so easy for me. I stay in education because, at this point, I can show up every day with zero plans, pull something out of my ass as the students are walking in the door, and make it seem like I had the whole thing planned the whole time. I have a reputation at this school as being the best teacher in my subject. Parents often request that their children be placed in my class. The eight hours per day I am here don't really feel like work anymore. That's why I stay. Hell, I don't even need the money. My spouse makes more than enough for us to live comfortably. I truly just keep showing up because it take little to no effort for me at this point.
