Onwards and Upwards

Not trying to be argumentative, honestly trying to point something out here - words do not have power, its the thoughts conveyed by combining those words that gives them power (with the exception of slurs) and limiting the use of a word to one of its definitions (as you have done here) takes the power from the individual using those words to craft the idea they wish to convey and limits those ideas to the power you have placed (incorrectly) upon a given word. Terrorist and the other are both just words, words we should not be afraid to say, when appropriate, for fear that another might misunderstand the distinction between what we are saying and what we mean. Yes, to toss a word around casually diminishes its impact, but so does restricting it to only one of its meanings, they are two sides of the same coin where language is concerned.
