So from my point of view this is how it goes. “ We’ve undergone genocide and hardship during history and many have tried to demolish Armenians but we’ve remained due to our language, fighters and .... so in this notion, pragmatism is a very weak argument, so what if its hard, we must try harder, we’ve faced worse and will do anything do persevere our being and speaking the language is not hard. So these arguments makes me not think some Armenians don’t take this stuff as seriously. It was more pragmatical for my ancestors to speak the the languages and live happily but they were prosecuted and murdered for trying to preserve our identity. So if its pragmatism, it leaves a very lazy picture of some of those people and when they don’t care why should I care, and put all the commitment.”

How do you counter-act this logic, I’m just trying to understand.
