You have the context though, because you have the country in the previous statement. We know the Turkish salary is comparatively low. So when someone says they cannot afford something because currently the Lira is worth X against USD, you know that the Lira is currently comparatively weak against the dollar. That is all he was trying to convey, nothing else. He conveyed that successfully. Do you have some difficulty in understanding nuance? You keep saying that the statement is worthless, but it is clearly not. You know what they said, i know what they said, all of the people that upvoted the comment knew what they said. You are making some banal point about the statement is worthless without the absolute values, and yet they conveyed their point perfectly.
