And the peasant said the money spent was "justified".

Yeah because he was only arguing for those specific games, and no other console games have ever been sold, and no ones will ever come out right?

In OP's pic he used those 3 games and TLOU and said they equal to $300. If those games would've been bought at launch they would've been $60 but most retail titles in Steam cost $60 at launch too so OP's pic is exaggerating the console prices. I just thought I'd show that, no, the games do not cost nearly as much as some people here say. I just happened to use those games as an example.

The thing with console prices is: Physical copies are always expensive. Digital is only cheap during a sale. And when there's a sale, retail titles almost never go below 5€. I've gotten a lot of big retail titles for 5€ but never below that even for games that are years old. On Steam a lot of old retail titles go for 1-3€ easily during a sale.

Anyway that's when the games are old. New games on PSN have just similar sales as Steam. You don't need to wait for a price drop for an year. There has been new retail titles for 30€ every now and then for the past few months. Dragon Age Inquisition has been 30€, Alien Isolation has been 30€, Assassin's Creed 4 is currently 30€, Shadow Of Mordor is currently 35€. Pretty much what the Steam had offered (or Origin with DA:I)

So no, you don't need to wait for years before the game will be available for 50% off. Just 2-3 months. Just like on Steam.

Steam is still the best one when it comes to game deals especially when buying older titles but I just feel like a lot of people genuinely think people buy console games for 60€ still 12 months after launch and then they never go below 20€

The reason for that might be that the physical copies cost a lot more
