I understand this is a first world issue, but I would say some art necessary task are also fucking mindless and actually i wish they were automated, be it through a normal algorithm or some AI thing. Crap, actually I keep asking my tool specializing coworker to automate them for me whenever she has time. I’m not talking lineart, shading or background. I’m not even talking retopology or skinning. In all those there can be fun, in the sense that you’re making decisions which actually do have an impact on the final product.

Im talking doing them fucking flat colors or separating and naming my layers out for me. Mindless boring tasks which don’t have any artistic decision makery in them.
