I think it's safe to assume that most celebrities in those candid photos in paparazzi magazines are wearing "natural" makeup of some sort. If you really want to know what a beautiful woman's face looks like without makeup, watching footage of backstage runway shows is usually pretty telling. Or Vogue has some skincare and makeup tutorial videos done by models and celebrities. Victoria's Secret FS behind the scenes is nuts, they wear such heavy makeup!

The only makeup video on youtube I relate to is Gisele Bundchen doing a video with a lady from Chanel. I feel like that's the "level" of makeup I wear if that makes sense. If I can't wash it off with a generic face wash then it's too much for me. Very rarely I will break out the heavy duty makeup for Special Events.

I assume this is what you're talking about when you say shiny and fake.
