Why do People Hate AC Odyssey?

Well, I’m going to be honest - I simply think it is a shit game. I’m not even talking about in context of the Assassin’s Creed lore here either. The gameplay loop of talking to NPC, raiding fort and going back to NPC is extremely boring and repetitive, the sidequests have very unoriginal storylines and are all basically fetch quests, the animation quality of character models and faces are very poor, combat is far too spongey and tedious and I hate the constant flow of generic loot the game revolves around.

And now I’ve stated that, further reasons I don’t think the game is good is because it focuses on a story set before the existence of the Brotherhood, and I have no interest in storylines that don’t contain Assassin’s or the Creed. I also find the mythological elements leaning far too much into fantasy rather than sci-fo for my tastes.

So no, nobody is complaining for the sake of complaining and I’m certainly not. I have a lot of genuine issues with the game that make me dislike it. If you don’t agree with any of this and are enjoying it, more power to you.
