Watching squirrels in the park.

It is extremely relaxing and enjoyable. Grey squirrels, the kind in North American and in growing numbers in the UK, are quite local and you will see the same ones around the same tree every day.

They are extremely intelligent and have distinct personalities once you get practiced in watching them. Most park squirrels are pretty habituated in humans and sometimes they interact with you, but most they ignore you and are not scared of humans.

They are adorable, incredibly athletic and do amazing things, and intelligent with lots of interesting interactions.

Watching baby squirrels is also super fun. First you see their cute, tiny little faces poking out of the hole to the drey. Then they will play and explore on the tree and bit but run back inside almost right away. Next they are playing and exploring all over the tree, but won't leave. Then they are being adorable and curious on the ground, etc. The sibling play and fight and snuggle. I saw one lie down on a tree limb and fall asleep. His little bro came up and nudge him a few times and he woke a bit but didn't get up. The the bro just lay down on top of him and fell asleep, too.
