People of Reddit with permanent scars, how did you get it?

I have a couple...

One looks like a sideways U (the shape of a dog's mouth) and it's on my left arm. I got it from a Great Dane that my family decided to adopt when I was around 12 or thirteen.

The other one I have is on my left ankle, and it kinda looks like a long centipede crawling up the outside of my leg starting from the joint at my ankle. I got that one from having to get surgery after breaking my ankle in two places (Twisted my fibula like a churro and chipped a piece of my tibia). A couple years ago, I was really into skateboarding and I was finally able to land a frontside 180 consistently. One day I was showing off the trick to a group if my friends and I landed it atleast 5+ times. Of course, after I was done showing off, I got on my board (it wasn't even moving, I was just talking while balancing on it) and I fell backwards and twisted my ankle... It was my first break too :(
