People shouldn’t get mad at me for not believing in gay marriage.

I'm a black, hetero, moderate, Democrat Christian man and I personally don't believe in same sex marriage because that's my faith. However I will never vote against same sex marriage. I generally tend to vote yes to anything that enables people to do things. Yes gay marriage, yes weed decriminalization, yes to pro choice, yes to healthcare and aid programs and no to gun control that further disarms the lawful citizen. The government should be there to safely facilitate the actions of the people, not to restrict things based on religious beliefs because church and state are supposed be separate. If you don't like gay marriage then don't get gay married, if you don't like abortion then don't have an abortion, etc. If you don't like something then don't do it, but don't force your lifestyle on others. I think OP's problem is that if he votes no he is forcing his religious beliefs on others through politics, and that's why people get angry.
