My ex best friend used to invite people over to play board games at her house on the weekends. Her boyfriend would get so pissed off and start throwing shit/ being verbally abusive if he was winning or if his girlfriend was beating him in the game. At first I thought it was a joke then I realized my friend actually got upset. She also started having the same attitude during the games and called it "being competitive" when it was just me and her playing. I was like what the fuck?!?! I stopped playing board games with them because it was fucking stupid. The last time I played it was Monopoly and I was winning. There was so much anxiety and competition coming from them I couldn't handle it. I don't even talk to them anymore because they're fucked up attitude permeates every aspect of the friendship.
