It’s ... interesting.

He was raised in a (genuine) Christian cult. When we met, our views were polar opposites. He was very conservative. I was a die-hard, very stereotypical liberal.

When I left him, these were my observations.

He is pro-gun and anti-abortion. He despises racists and liars, despite being both himself.

In 2016 he voted for Sanders, and then when Sanders lost the Democratic nomination, he voted independent. He was wary of Trump then but detests him now.

He did acid late last year and apologized to me for 1) treating me like a servant for six years and 2) blowing up after I rejected him months after we separated, because he wanted to get back together and I had “ruined the sanctity of our marriage” by finding another partner even though the decision to divorce was mutual. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I hope he treats his next partner better.
