People who have had "friends" stab you in the back, what is the story?

Had a best mate for 7 years, she moved to a different city/state for the defence force while I was finishing my degree and 12 months later I just so happened to move to the same city for my first full time job. I knew nobody else and my bf and family were still living back in our hometown. She got a bf after I'd been living there for 2 months and kept bailing on hanging out or everytime we organised to catch up- he was there. He was lovely so I didnt really mind but the bailing on me meant I naturally asked to hang out less and less. I made a great bunch of friends at work and really got on with my housemate so hung out with them instead and we grew really close. I went through a tough medical issue and leaned on them during this time. My bf moved to a city in another different state for a job and I decided to move there too so we could be together. All my work friends and housemate knew, as I had quit my job and was handing over the lease. I invited her to dinner twice to tell her and she kept blowing me off.

I put up on fb that I was excited to be moving and was having a farewell in a weeks time.

She was shocked and seemed a bit miffed- demanded a catch up. She came over and I told her about the move in depth and also touched on that it would be nice to be with him to support me with my medical issue- which I realised I never really got to tell her about (as she wasnt around or instigating chats with me around the time I was diagnosed) she lost her absolute SHIT and begun throwing nasty insults at me and using things I had told her about me, and my family throughout our friendship to get under my skin- to hit me where it hurts. Mission accomplished.

Safe to say I've never seen or spoken to her again after that day.

Aint nobody got time for that shit.
